The JKL Workforce for the Future Program is a one-year pilot initiative designed to strengthen workforce development opportunities for high school students across the country. Through this partnership, the program will reach up to 3,000 students and 100+ JKL instructors annually across 53 program sites in 19 cities and 10 states, including: California, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, and Washington, D.C.

Beginning in Fall 2026, JKL students will complete a baseline career assessment through the Find Your Grind portal, providing personalized insight into their strengths, interests, and career readiness needs. These assessments will inform instruction, support targeted student growth, and ensure alignment with evolving workforce demands.

The workforce development experience will give students access to:

•Foundational career readiness skills

•Career exploration tools and pathway identification

•Resume building and interview preparation

•Essential soft skills for workplace success

•Career panels and exposure to diverse industries

•Mentorship connections and real-world workforce insights

This program is designed to meet students where they are – preparing them for college, trade programs, certifications, or immediate entry into the workforce after high school.
